We created EverGuard after a blackout in Spain showed us how unprepared we were. Now we help European families avoid that same helplessness.
Our Story
It Started With a Blackout. And a Scared Little Girl.
In 2024, a blackout hit during our holiday in Spain.
No power. No plan. Just a scared little girl looking to us for protection we couldn't give.
The power went out without warning. Networks failed. ATMs stopped working. And suddenly, simple questions became urgent problems:
- How do we pay for food without power?
- How do we charge our phones to get emergency updates?
- How do we keep the lights on?
- Most importantly—how do we keep our child calm when everything feels uncertain?
The stress was overwhelming. The uncertainty was suffocating.
We had no plan. No supplies. No system. We scrambled in the dark.
When the power came back, we made ourselves a promise:
Never again. And no other family should feel this helpless.
After that night, we spent months obsessing over one question: How do we prepare properly?
We studied EU civil-protection recommendations. We consulted emergency preparedness experts. We tested dozens of products. And everywhere we looked, we found the same problem:
Information was scattered. Products were confusing. There was no single, practical way to prepare a simple "grab-and-go" system.
You either ended up with random gear thrown together, or you felt overwhelmed by extreme "prepper" culture that didn't fit normal family life.
We knew there had to be a better way.
So we created EverGuard - not as a business first, but as the solution we wished existed when our family needed it most.

We live between Bulgaria and the Netherlands with our two children. We built EverGuard in the margins - early mornings, late nights, nap times - because the people you love deserve to feel safe.

I am super happy I received my order from EverGuard. I ordered the product that I hope I never have to use. In the event I have to use it, I'll be super prepared. I ordered the Emergency kit as I live in an earthquake prone area and I live on a high floor. Aside from an amazing well thought out emergency kit, I´d also like to thank the EverGuard Service team (perhaps more important than the product). As I was trying to track down my product EverGuard proactively reached out to me to find out if I had heard anything from the shipping company. When I said I´d not heard anything they really went to work on details with the shipper and pushing for information and ultimately the delivery. Had EverGuard not had their service strategies to follow up, I wouldn’t be having the safety quotient of knowing I have my emergency kit at the ready and knowing I'll have the best set of tools to increase my odds of survival. Really impressed with how organized everything is. Every item has a logical place. Added the food and water items from the checklist in one supermarket trip. Took 20 minutes.
Well made - exactly as in the photos. The organization inside is excellent — everything has a place. Would have liked the carry handle to be slightly more padded for longer distances, but overall a very good product.
Good quality throughout. Bag is heavier duty than the photos suggest. One star off only because a couple of the smaller tools feel generic — the main items are all solid.
My biggest concern was: would my kids know how to use it if I wasn't home? The video tutorials answered that. My 13-year-old watched them and now she knows the plan. That alone is worth the price.
We sat in the dark for 11 hours last winter with nothing ready. No torch, no radio, no plan. I ordered EverGuard the next day. Never again.

Compared standard and premium for a week. The radio and water purification decided it. If power goes for more than a day thats what actually matters. Glad i spent extra.
Really happy. Radio is the star. One star off because delivery took 6 days not 3-4. Support replied fast when i asked.
Good product. Backpack is proper quality, not a cheap import. 4 stars only because id like a rain cover at this price.
Hesitated a lot at €199. Then i priced out a crank radio, water filter, decent backpack and first aid seperately — over €280. Easy decision after that.
